Mr O’Grady has once again shamed himself by posting a blog entry that claims FireWire will be completely removed from the future Intel iBooks.
He also mentions that Intel PowerBooks will lose FireWire 400 but retain FireWire 800, not even a mention of adapters for us with FW 400 kit.
O’Grady’s reasoning for all this; they dropped it from the iPod.
World of Apple believes this is total rubbish and Apple would never drop a technology that they invented, the only reason it was dropped from the nano and the 5G iPod was cost and space.
