In todays annual shareholder meeting held at Apples Cupertino Campus many questions were raised with some interesting results.

Steve Jobs, Peter Oppenheimer and Phil Schiller attended as part of the executives of Apple, during the session all three remained tight-lipped.

When one shareholder asked Jobs what products should be expected in the future, Jobs simply stated “I can’t tell you”, however followed on with some great enthusiasm by saying “The new products in the pipeline are the best I’ve ever seen in my life,”.

Another shareholder asked Apple if they were producing “the ultimate media center” (sic), Jobs replied “we hear you load and clear”.

When speaking about the Intel switch Jobs admitted that Apple was aware that the switch was costing Apple hardware sales as consumers awaited new machines.

As with all the annual shareholder meetings the issue of environmental matters was brought up, usually ending in heated sessions between Jobs and environmental groups. This year the clash remained largely civil.

Larry Fahn, a former president of Sierra Club Environmental Group stated that Apple had only recycled 2.4 percent of the computer equipment sold seven years ago, compared to 10 percent by Dell and 7 by HP.

“We are concerned that besides being a hip, cool company, Apple is falling short of the industry environmentally,” Fahn said. “I would like to thank you for the program introduced last week, but there is still a long way to go.”

During the discussions Phil Schiller said that “I think there are a lot of PCs that should be recycled,”.
