Apple Denies iTunes Sales Slowdown
Following on from yesterdays report from Forrester Research, Apple has strongly denied that such a slowdown is occurring.
In the report Forrester analysed 2791 iTunes Store credit and debit card transactions over a 2 year period.
“With only two years of full data, it is too soon to tell if this decline was seasonal or if buyers were reaching their saturation level for digital music,” Forrester analyst Josh Bernoff wrote.
Natalie Kerris spoke on behalf of Apple stating that “the conclusion that iTunes sales are slowing is simply incorrect.”
Mac OS X Leopard Builds Seeded
Apple released its December build of Mac OS X Leopard to developers last night, Build 9A321 is said to contain just minor bug fixes with very few changes occurring elsewhere.
Apple also seeded Build 9A318b for Mac OS X Leopard Server.
Apple Japan to Offer New Year Lucky Bags
In Japanese custom for New Year, Apple will be offering Lucky Bags.
Unlike previous years that Apple has done such a thing, they will be offering Lucky Bags for sale online but only 10 a day during the 20 day period between December 7 and December 26.
The bags cost ¥52,500 (US$450) but promise to contain contents worth ¥110,000 (US $940).
